Stensbogaard fra Midtfyn har lavet en øl og opkaldt den efter... dens farve. Det er set før, men der er pokker til forskel på "Rød Tuborg", "Røde Erik" og så det runde, bløde, nærmest historiefortællende "Kobber & Karamel". Det er farve og smag, det er brygkedel og sødme. Ølpoesi, simpelthen. Det er Red Ale, der giver den gas.
Beigefarvet, nydeligt i al sin rigelighed. Skummet har en fin struktur og holder længe. Det ligner, at skummet efterhånden som det falder sammen, skifter farve til at blive hvidt.
Kobber & Karamel er ravgylden, lidt mørk i løden. Den er uklar fordi øllet ikke er filtreret, men den er stadig vældig pæn.
Lakrids, karamel, malt
Lakrids. En mellemting mellem engelsk lakrids og blød (finsk?) lakrids. Fremtrædende maltsmag og en lang, let bitter eftersmag.
